BANANALESS LOW SUGAR SMOOTHIE BOWL

Yes! A smoothie bowl without banana is possible! But why doing this? Well, there could be a couple of reasons, for example allergy, fructose intolerance/sensitivity, blood sugar fluctuations, acne etc. One medium size banana contains between 14-17gr of sugar, so does a half of a mango. If we top our smoothie bowl with more fruits or/and dried fruits, sweet granola ect. we will reach our daily sugar limit pretty fast (recommendet 30gr-50gr per day). That means we consume too many fruits in one sitting and our blood sugar levels soar and then nosedive. The consequences are fatigue, mood swings, loss of concentration ect. This does not mean that fruits like banana, mango and co. are bad! It really depends on the right amount.
